The gathered or ruffled Bed Valance is synonymous with the English country home and is one of the most inviting things you can see in a bedroom. It signals comfort, femininity and abundance.

Traditionally, we see gathered bed valances made from heavy, starched fabrics but the natural characteristics of linen result in a gentle fullness and a valance which is decorative and calm.

The Ruffle is our most frivolous bed valance and the perfect suitor for a more layered home. Dating back centuries, this style is arguably the original; a significant detail from a time when the bed was considered the most important and luxurious piece in the home.

Our linen is woven in Lithuania at the oldest and largest linen mill in the Baltics. It then makes its way to County Durham, where our talented seamstresses cut, sew and finish each piece by hand.
